Evening All Afternoon description

Things we've lost, things we've remembered: Evening All Afternoon defines tenderness.

Some plays dive deep into what it means to be human. Evening All Afternoon is one of them, a lovely new piece of work by the award-winning playwright Anna Ziegler (Photograph 51, The Wanderers), whose writing is celebrated worldwide.

It stars Anastasia Hille (The Effect, Oresteia, The Master Builder), who has been nominated twice for the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress and nominated for the 2013 BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress, and Erin Kellyman (The Green Knight, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), who is making her professional stage debut.

Billed as witty and heartbreakingly human, this is a tale of lost things, remembered things, and the way we sometimes find ourselves forced to face what is no longer there, simply in order to carry on. Exploring what it means to open up to someone else when it feels like the world is wobbling under our feet, we meet Jennifer and Delilah. Jennifer, who is about to become Delilah's stepmother, tries her best to make a heartfelt connection as their relationship unfolds, but the two women are a long way apart. The play tackles their issues with humour, honesty and quiet bravery. Can they open their hearts again?

Directed by Diyan Zora (Roots, English), this new drama is crafted beautifully with the writer's signature emotional accuracy, intelligent insight and considerable depth. The Designer is Basia Bińkowska, the Lighting Designer is Natasha Chivers, the Composer & Sound Designer is Adam Cork, and the Casting Director is Lotte Hines CDG.

Treat yourself to Evening All Afternoon tickets and enjoy a beautifully sensitive and intelligent exploration of what happens when two very different women's futures collide.
