The first production photos have been released for High School Musical, now running at Lowry in Manchester before it transfers to Troubadour Theatre - Wembley in October. Harry Judd takes over from Jason Donovan for the London dates.
The first production photos are out for Disney's High School Musical, shot by Matt Crockett. It is the first UK non-replica staging of the show, and it marks twenty years since the film. Performances began at Lowry in Manchester on 22 August and run there to 19 September 2026, before the production transfers to Troubadour Theatre - Wembley from 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
There is one change between the two runs. Jason Donovan plays Coach Bolton in Manchester, and Harry Judd takes the role in London. KayCee Stroh, who played Martha Cox in the original films, is Ms Darbus at both venues.
Tobias Turley plays Troy Bolton and Leonor Correia is Gabriella Montez, with Caitlin Tipping as Sharpay Evans and Luke Bayer as Ryan Evans. They are joined by Char Burnett as Taylor McKessie, Jordan Benjamin as Chad Danforth, Simeon Beckett as Zeke Baylor, Olivia O'Connor as Martha Cox, Yna Tresvalles as Kelsi Nielson and Curtis Patrick as Jack Scott.
The book is by David Simpatico, with the score adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle. Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton co-direct, and Aaron Renfree choreographs. The songs are the ones the audience arrives knowing: Breaking Free, We're All In This Together, Get'cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo. It is produced by Hope Mill Theatre and Chris Harper Productions in association with Lowry.
Disney's High School Musical is booking now at Troubadour Theatre - Wembley, 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
