Alan Cumming and Verity Power lead the full company for My Fair Lady at Pitlochry

The full company of My Fair Lady at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, led by Alan Cumming and Verity Power Alan Cumming and Verity Power, already confirmed as Professor Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle, now have the rest of their company: sixteen more performers complete the cast of Maria Friedman's My Fair Lady at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, which runs from 21 November to 31 December.

Alex James-Hatton plays Freddy Eynsford-Hill and Martin Ball takes on Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady, as the full line-up is confirmed for the Pitlochry Festival Theatre staging directed by Maria Friedman. They join Alan Cumming, who plays Professor Henry Higgins, and Verity Power, who plays Eliza Doolittle, both of whom were announced earlier.

Julie Legrand is cast as Mrs Higgins, Alexander Newland as Alfred P Doolittle and Juliet Cadzow as Mrs Pearce.

The ensemble is Loren Anderson, Zachary Barlow, Mairi Barclay (also covering Mrs Pearce), Daisy Barnett (covering Eliza Doolittle), Robert Donnelly and James Probert (both covering Freddy Eynsford-Hill), Thomas Sutcliffe (covering Alfred P Doolittle and Colonel Pickering), Scott Waugh (covering Alfred P Doolittle) and Lizzie Wofford (covering Mrs Higgins). C J Benoiton and Reuben Khan are the onstage swings, with Benoiton also covering Eliza Doolittle.

The production is the last of Alan Cumming's first season as Artistic Director of Pitlochry Festival Theatre, which presents it in association with Sonia Friedman Productions. Maria Friedman directed the revival of Merrily We Roll Along that went on to win a Tony Award.

Alan Jay Lerner wrote the book and lyrics and Frederick Loewe the music for the musical, which reached Broadway in 1956. Its source is George Bernard Shaw's 1913 play Pygmalion, together with Gabriel Pascal's film of it, and its story of a flower seller schooled to “improve” her standing in society was filmed again in 1964, winning several Academy Awards. Moss Hart directed and staged the first production.

The creative team brings together designer Tim Hatley, whose credits include Life of Pi and Back to the Future in the West End and on Broadway; choreographer Ashley Nottingham (Starlight Express in London); and lighting designer Neil Austin, whose credits include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Paddington in the West End and on Broadway.

Joel Fram, whose credits include Merrily We Roll Along in New York, is musical supervisor, and Ben Kubiak, whose credits include Jane Eyre – A Musical at Southwark Playhouse, is musical director. Alexios Priftis, who worked on Tell Me On A Sunday in Athens, provides the orchestrations, and casting is by Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.

The first performance is on Saturday 21 November 2026, press night follows on Friday 27 November 2026 at 6pm, and the run ends on Thursday 31 December 2026. Captioned performances are scheduled for 9 and 17 December, audio-described ones for 10 and 16 December, a BSL-interpreted performance for 11 December and a relaxed performance for 20 December. Tickets start at £15 from the Pitlochry Festival Theatre box office.
