The first photographs show Anna Camp, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Finn Jones and Martin Marquez at work ahead of previews at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from 20 October.

The Off-Broadway engagement is the first New York staging of a play that has transferred again and again in the West End since it opened at the Noël Coward Theatre in the summer of 2021, with Lily Allen in the original company. 2:22 – A Ghost Story has now played seven West End engagements and two UK tours, and around 30 productions have been mounted worldwide. Rehearsal photographs by Langley Hayman show the New York company at work.

The British hands stay on it for the crossing. The production comes from Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, the producer behind the London runs, together with Isobel David and Kater Gordon, by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre; Andrew "Boz" Bosworth is associate producer. Matthew Dunster, who directed the play in London, shares the direction this time with Gabriel Vega Weissman.

The plot is unchanged. Cephas Jones plays Jenny, who is convinced that something is moving through her new house at night, with Finn Jones as Sam, the husband who will not hear of it. Camp returns to Lauren, a role she played at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, and Marquez is Ben, the new partner Lauren brings to the housewarming dinner where the argument starts and the four decide to sit up until 2:22 to settle it.

Marquez is the name London audiences will know best from the stage. His credits include Sam Allardyce in Dear England at the National Theatre, Brokeback Mountain at @sohoplace, The Unbelievers at the Royal Court and the UK tour of Double Indemnity. Finn Jones is familiar from television as Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones and as Marvel's Danny Rand, Cephas Jones was a member of the original Broadway company of Hamilton, and Camp's Broadway credits include the Equus revival opposite Daniel Radcliffe.

The design team is Anna Fleischle (set), Cindy Lin (costumes), Lucy Carter (lighting) and Ian Dickinson for Autograph (sound), with illusions by Chris Fisher.

Previews begin on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street, ahead of opening night on Thursday 5 November 2026. It is a limited engagement, closing on Sunday 17 January 2027. There are no London performances on sale at present. News From Broadway has more on the New York company.
