Head north to Finsbury Park to meet M. She's a writer, a mother and a woman, but the joy she feels when her play proves a smash hit is sideswiped by the struggles of motherhood. She is burned out, angry, lonely, desperate for intimacy yet disengaged, and completely terrified by the future. Determined to tell her story her own way, she is surrounded by people who would rather share their own opinions about who she is, who she should be - and the many ways in which she is apparently f*cking absolutely everything up.

The award-winning writer Jane Upton’s Bruntwood Prize shortlisted play breaks the glossy veneer of motherhood into a thousand shards to reveal the raw, messy truth underneath as one woman dares to question the world's definition of her self. This unapologetic and bitterly funny play boldly challenges our assumptions to leave audiences with a lot to think about.

The production comes from New Perspectives Theatre Company in association with Park Theatre, directed by Angharad Jones. Sara Perks is the Designer and Lily Woodford is the Lighting Designer, with Sound Design from Bella Kear, Dramaturg by Sarah Dickenson, Video Design from Matt Powell and Associate Video Design by Farah Ishaq. Lucy Glassbrook is the Movement Director, and the Casting comes from Ellie Collyer-Bristow CDG. Jessy Roberts is Assistant Director.
