Billed as bold, brilliantly silly, full of comedy and packed with fun, this charming retelling of the beloved ballet is all about the laughs, the festivities, the music, the mice, and the cheese. Nominated for 2025's Best Family Entertainment Olivier award, you can expect a show to remember... without a single ballet dancer in sight.
The story goes like this. Brother and sister Clara and Fritz, who argue all the time, are given a weird nutcracker by their eccentric auntie. Will their awesome adventure into The Mousey Realm stop them squabbling and help them overcome the evil many-headed Mouse King before Christmas is ruined?
The show is written and devised by Clare Beresford, Dominic Conway, Lakeisha Lynch-Stevens, Caroline Partridge, Alexander Scott, Edith Tankus and Shamira Turner. Directed by Alexander Scott, there's Musical direction by Clare Beresford and Dominic Conway, Design by Sam Wilde, Lighting design by Joshua Pharo, and Sound design by Sharon Tsang.
