The show is set in the present day, in 2024, starring the New York teenager Percy Jackson, who discovers he is descended from the Greek god of the ocean Poseidon. His discovery is just the start of a wild adventure through a gang of tricky problems, as Percy’s life takes a dramatic turn and he’s hurled into a world much bigger and more strange than he’d ever imagined.

Struggling to handle awesome powers he can’t control, and forced to face a destiny he didn’t ask for, Percy is menaced by a pantheon of horrid mythical monsters as he learns how to be heroic. Ten years since its debut, the show is finally in the capital

The musical enjoyed its off-Broadway premiere in 2014, ahead of two US tours, then had a second off-Broadway run before it finally hit Broadway for a 16-week run in 2019. The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical enjoyed a successful debut in London at The Other Palace. Now it returns to the capital as part of an extensive UK tour.

Lizzie Gee directs and choreographs the production with original rock music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki.
