This new live version of Douglas Adams’ beloved outer space adventure, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy, is based on the books and the 2005 movie starring Martin Freeman and Alan Rickman. You'll meet up with Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Fenchurch, and the crew to flee from our planet's imminent destruction, accompanying them on their search for answers to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. With an award-winning creative team behind the magic, you're in for an eccentric, hilarious, and wonderfully silly treat.
Adams' madcap creation is one of the best-loved sci-fi comedies of all time. From its beginnings as a BBC Radio series in the late 1970s to its 15 million-selling books, the television series, and stage shows, it never fails to amuse. Rich in absurd humour and full of iconic sound bites, you'll leave the theatre with a smile on your face. No wonder the five-book 'trilogy' is available in over 30 languages.
Created by writer and producer Arvind Ethan David, who adapted Netflix's Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, this time around the fun is co-directed by Simon Evans (No. 9 Stage/Fright) and co-directed and choreographed by Lorin Latarro (The Producers, Mrs. Doubtfire). The live experience experts are Georgia Clarke-Day (Monopoly Lifesized, The Traitors Live Experience) and David Frias-Robles (Taskmaster: The Live Experience) for Myriad Entertainment. Last but not least, we have the Emmy Award-winning stage designer Jason Ardizzone-West (Redwood, Jesus Christ Superstar Live) on the team.
