Priscilla has spent three decades delighting audiences and this latest show, the Party, is inspired by the Oscar winning film and the Tony and Olivier-winner musical. It’s on stage from 1st March to 30th September 2024.
If you’re in for an all-singing, all-dancing immersive party and theatre experience, this one’s for you. It’s a dress-up, glittering occasion held at the HERE at Outernet venue, right next to Tottenham Court Road tube station, bang in the middle of Soho, but you’ll quickly be immersed in the hot, dusty Australian Outback. There’s been a North American Tour, four UK tours, five Italian Tours, and it has lit up Norwegian Cruise Lines like a Christmas tree. About Priscilla The Party
The show marks three decades since the film burst onto the cinema screen and 18 years since the stage musical hit the West End. This is the world premiere of Priscilla The Party! So rummage through your wardrobe for your most colourful, glittery, outrageous outfit and practice your best disco moves. This is one heck of a joyous experience, exactly what we need right now.
If you’ve seen the film or the stage musical you’ll know what to expect. If not, you’ll enjoy the ride as the heart-warming, uplifting story unfolds: three friends in a tatty old bus go in search of love and friendship, and they end up finding a whole lot more than they expected. The result is wildly funny, endlessly fabulous.
The cast will be confirmed nearer the time. The Producers are Randall A. Buck, Patrick Bywalski, and Rod Gunner in association with Nullarbor Productions and MGM on Stage. The book is by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, inspired by the movie and distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.
Direction is by Simon Phillips, set and video design by Brian Thomson and Justin Nardella, costume design by Tim Chappell and Lizzy Gardiner, choreography by Andrew Hallsworth, musical arrangements, direction, supervision and orchestrations by Stephen ‘Spud’ Murphy. The music director is Steve Geere, and the lighting design comes from Per Hording.
