The plot goes like this: the war has ended, but the fight for love is just beginning. We meet Beatrice, who is fed up with love and decides not to have anything to do with men. In the meantime, secrets are being shared, gossip is running wild, and people's reputations are on the verge of being ruined. Ultimately, nobody is very good at the frantic face-saving that's involved.
