Lee Mead: Twenty Years in Technicolour is a concert in which Lee Mead returns to the Adelphi Theatre to mark twenty years since his West End breakthrough.

In 2007 Mead won the BBC talent series Any Dream Will Do, emerging from around 10,000 hopefuls to be voted by viewers into the title role of the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Adelphi. Twenty years on, he comes back to the same stage with a live band, and possibly a few surprise guests, for a concert of songs and the stories behind them.

The programme draws on musicals from across his career, including Joseph, We Will Rock You, The Phantom of the Opera, Sister Act and Barnum. Alongside the show tunes are songs made famous by George Michael, Tony Bennett and Bruno Mars, the artists Mead credits with making him want to sing. The anniversary is also being marked with a UK tour, The Colours of My Life, and a new book about his career.

After Joseph, Mead returned to the West End as Fiyero in Wicked in 2010 and played Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre in 2011. He has since toured as Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, appeared as Prince Charming in Cinderella at the London Palladium, and counts Sister Act, Chicago and Barnum among his stage credits. On television he is known as nurse Ben 'Lofty' Chiltern, a role created for him in the BBC's Casualty in 2013 and later carried over to Holby City.

He has also released several solo albums, beginning with Lee Mead in 2007, and his recordings of Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door reached number two in the UK download chart. He has headlined his own Christmas concerts at the London Coliseum and the Garrick Theatre.
