High Noon description

It's the world premiere of High Noon, a gripping new adaptation by Eric Roth.

The Oscar winning screenwriter Eric Roth, who gave us Forrest Gump and Dune, is collaborating with Olivier-winning Director Thea Sharrock (Equus, After the Dance) to deliver the world premiere of High Noon. Billed as a 'gripping' new adaptation, this is Roth's stage debut. It's based on the iconic Oscar winning 1952 movie by Stanley Kramer, directed by Fred Zinnemann with a screenplay by Carl Foreman, a critically acclaimed story that doesn't just tell a powerful tale, it's a wake-up call for us all.

Originally about Hollywood's scandalous blacklist, the new version of High Noon speaks to the world we live in today. Set in the 1800s, in the Wild West, the themes are courage versus cowardice, justice versus peace, and duty versus desire. The love between the stars of the show, Will Kane and Amy Fowler, faces impossible choices as the clock ticks and the terrifying outlaw Frank Miller, who's riding the high noon train, gets ever-closer. Will they start a beautiful new life together or potentially lose it all for the greater good?

A real edge-of-your-seat thriller for our times, the stars are the Tony and Emmy winner Billy Crudup (The Morning Show, The Coast of Utopia) and the Olivier winner Denise Gough (Andor, People, Places & Things). Design is by the Tony and Olivier winner Tim Hatley (Back to the Future: The Musical, The Life of Pi) with lighting by Tony and Olivier winner Neil Austin (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Frozen The Musical). The composer and music producer is Chris Egan, and the casting director is Jina Jay CDG.

Time is running out, but the truth still applies: stand up for the things you think are worth saving or you'll potentially lose everything. Big drama meets a glittering cast with High Noon tickets.
