Here There are Blueberries is the latest play from Tony and Emmy nominee Moisés Kaufman and Emmy nominee Amanda Gronich. Kauffman, who conceived the play, also directs. The show is in the capital for its UK premiere after several acclaimed runs in the USA. A 2024 Pulitzer Prize finalist, it won 2025's Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play and two Helen Hayes Awards.
The play explores a true-life mystery that began in 2007 when an old pre-Nazi photo album turned up at the desk of an archivist at the USA's Holocaust Memorial Museum. When the shocking truth behind the images emerges, the media catches on, and the debate goes viral across the globe.
The cast, described as a 'brilliant ensemble' includes Geraldine Alexander (Bridgerton, Oslo), who plays Judy Cohen and others, and Scott Barrow (33 Variations, The Laramie Project, Tectonic Theater Project) who plays Karl Höcker and others. Os Leanse (Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) plays Peter Wirths and others. We have Philippine Velge (Jurassic World Rebirth, Macbeth) as Rebecca Erbelding and others, Paksie Vernon (People Places and Things, House of Dragon) as Charlotte Schünzel and others, and Arthur Wilson (Much Ado About Nothing, Mnemonic) as Rainer Höss and others.
