An original musical score accompanies the laughs as the escapades of the world's best-known twenty-somethings unfold on stage. Fresh from the Producers of Hairspray and The Full Monty's director, Michael Gyngell, laugh-out-loud comedy is the name of the game. Welcome to the 1990s, starring Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe.
Friends is one of the most popular, highest-grossing TV shows of all time. The series finale in 2004 attracted an audience of 52.5 million Americans and 8.6 million in the UK, making it the fifth-most-watched show in history as well as the noughties' most-watched sitcom. This time around, it stars Enzo Benvenuti as Ross, Alicia Belgarde as Monica, Daniel Parkinson as Chandler, Eva Hope as Rachel, Ronnie Burden as Joey, and Amelia Atherton as Phoebe. Edward Leigh plays Gunther, Tom Selleck and Paolo, and the Ensemble is Lottie Lester, Meg Darcy, Jared Thompson, and Harry Mallaghan.
The director is Michael Gyngell (Not In The Mood For Quiche Anymore, A Guy Called Scott Crawls under A Table And Wont Come Out, Yes Prime Minister, When Harry Met Sally, The Play What I Wrote). Book and lyrics are by Bob and Tobly McSmith and the music is by Assaf Gleizner. There's set and lighting design by Andrew Exeter, sound design by Chris Whybrow, costume design by Jennie Quirk, wigs, hair and make-up by Craig Forrest-Thomas, and music supervision by Mark Crossland. The music arrangements come from Charles Olins.
The producers are Mark Goucher, Matthew Gale, and Oskar Eiriksson under licence from Theatre Mogul. The show was originally produced in New York City by Lynn Shore Entertainment, Theater Mogul and McSmith Family Entertainment.
