Fallen Angels description

It's exactly a century since Noel Coward's Fallen Angels was staged for the first time.

Now it's back, an outrageous comedy full of wit, banter, and knife-sharp humour. You'll meet best friends, Jane and Julia, whose lives are easy, comfortable, and pleasant in every way. Their marriages are solid, their finances are secure, and their friends are loyal. Then their glamorous former lover decides to turn up, and everything changes. Passions reignite, and the cracks in their seemingly perfect lives begin to show. As they continue drinking and the cocktails flow, the banter changes. Increasingly cruel jabs, jealousy, and temptation ultimately result in chaos.

Noel Coward's work is always a delight, just as relevant, outrageous, and funny a hundred years later. According to a poll by The Stage, Coward comes second in popularity, only beaten by Shakespeare for his enormous influence on theatre, variety, broadcasting, and film. Coward kept on writing for an extraordinary sixty years, publishing over 50 plays and composing literally hundreds of songs. But he isn't the only star of this show. Director Christopher Luscombe is also a big hitter. His Rocky Horror Show production has been running continuously for almost 20 years, with several smash hit West End seasons under its belt and a global audience at its feet.

The Fallen Angels cast includes Janie Dee as Julia Steroll, Alexandra Gilbreath as Jane Banbury, and Christopher Hollis as Bill Banbury. Fred Steroll is played by Richard Teverson, with Saunders played by Sarah Twomey, and Maurice Duclos by Graham Vick.

As for the Fallen Angels creative team, it's made up of Director Christopher Luscombe, Set Designer Simon Higlett and Costume Designer Fotini Dimou, along with Lighting Designer Oliver Fenwick, Sound Designer Adam Cork, Composer Nigel Hess and Movement expert Nicola Keen.

Buy Fallen Angels tickets to experience Coward's trademark sharp wit and dazzling dialogue as he takes a hilarious look at love, loyalty, and forbidden desire.
