COCKFOSTERS description
A screamingly funny comedy about the London Underground awaits you: it's Cockfosters.
The smash hit play Cockfosters is back again after five sold-out London runs. Make your way to the Southwark Playhouse Borough for a unique story like no other.
So what happens when two complete strangers, Tori and James, meet on the London tube's Piccadilly Line then make their way across the city together? A journey they'll never forget unfolds, and you won't forget it in a hurry either. Mix together one tube carriage, 38 Stops and no Refunds for a brilliantly surreal take on a journey millions of people know and sometimes love, studded with larger-than-life characters.
Grab your travel card, mind the gap, and enjoy the trip. The fun comes from the same people who made audiences cry with laughter at Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons, the Edinburgh Fringe smash hit gosh!, and the award-nominated comedy Badgers Can't Be Friends. The play is written by Tom Woffenden and Hamish Clayton, who also directs. The entertainment is accompanied by original songs from Richard Longdon and Tom Woffenden. Set design by Gareth Rowntree and David Shields plus Lighting design by Ben Sayers add to the drama, and the show is presented by Slow Mojo Collective.
Buy Cockfosters tickets for a rip-roaring journey through the capital's tube network, perfect for commuters and just as much of a giggle for people who have never set foot on one of London's famous underground trains.
