Disappointing by Melissa
The microphones were lower volume than the music and we couldn't hear the most of the songs ... And not grate performance from the main characters !
Children entertainment by Francoise
Very noisy due to children in the audience. This is a musical geared towards families and children. Didn't know most of the music so unable to remember a tune afterwards. Generally storyline naf. Scenery and lighting were the best thing.
If one word describes it, the word would be: excellent!! Just amazing, perfect for all ages from kids to grown ups! It's a must see!! by Jessica
Costumes were perfect, acting was amazing!! Just amazing all round & very much worth the money! Go see it, you won't be disappointed!!

Fantastic show from start to finish. Second time I've seen it and would go see it again.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Thought the costumes were amazing!! Well done!
Great show, noisy audience by Sofie
I've seen the Lion King once before and I was glad that was the case. This time around the crowd was extremely noisy! I had a hard time listening to the actors talk! I know the Lion King is a family-musical and that's probably the reason this show was noisy compared to Wicked. But for me, that kind of lowered the experience. I was also a bit disapointed that they decided to skip the air-acrobatics part in 'Can you feel the love tonight'. I do however appreciate the fact that they updated all the jokes! Hilarious!
fantastic, bright, feel good factor, children will love it! by Julia
We went to see Lion King for my grandson's sixth birthday, He totally loved it!
Magical by Jennifer
Excellent performance ,I enjoyed it even more the second time around,
Fantastic show- the costumes and set design were outstanding. Wonderful performances from the main characters Nala and Simba, with wonderful comic moments from Timon, Pumba and Zazoo, but I feel that it was Rafiki who stole the show!! I would recommend it to young and old- a great nights entertainment.
Must see by Sue.
Truly breathtaking. Great scenery, fantastic costumes, engaging songs and an enjoyable story (where despite loss, a young 'boy' triumphs over adversity to take his true place in the world) all go to make this Classic a must see for all to see.
Superb show, brilliantly acted and great music. Stage effects, props and lighting stunning. It's a must see
A "roaring" success! by Catherine
A marvellous birthday treat for my granddaughter. Advisable not to take under 5's though as the hyenas a bit scary! Merchandise a bit pricey.
Outstanding Lion King by Sharon

Lovely show by Amany
I like the show ,it's fantastic and the songs and the music are superb
lovely but by Falah
Choose your seats carefully, the one i had (ZA12) is too bad can't get full view unless you lay on the other seat. if there is a real picture of the seats would be more useful to make your selection.
Family friendly show by Jack
Everyone loves the story of The Lion King and it is great that it has come to life at the Lyceum Theatre. Though it was a shame that it was let down by a certain demographic who cannot understand that the use of cameras is prohibited, although it was hard to ignore and the Front of House doing all they can to avoid this, the show was still great and my girlfriend also loved this show for her 21st Birthday. Although I am a strong unbeliever for sweets being allowed in the theatre, if you don't mind spending a reasonable amount for tickets and can handle the rustling of sweet wrappers and packets and the odd shouting from young children, this is a great show that will leave you wanting more.
I loved it. I send my teenagers there and they were delighted
Wonderful by Dan

Liontastic by Lorraine
Costumes fantastic, songs were fabulous. A really good show for all the family.
The costume of the Meerkat could improve...almost looks like a regular disney chipmunk. Everything else is just brilliant. Wouldn't recommend for small children ...below 10 yr old.

Lion King was the best show we have ever seen. Music and costumes were incredible!
the show was an anniversary treat for my husband & I it was really goos, unfortunately because we were up in the grand circle I felt we mised a lot of the atmosphere but apart from that a lovely colourful show
Fantastic production, highly recommended by Claire
Our party of 2 adults and 6 year old thoroughly enjoyed this show. Had been advised to sit in stalls and had aisle seats in row J, 8-10, which were perfect as you had great view of stage, felt very close to stage and having various animals walking onto stage down aisle next to us really enhanced the experience. Amazing costumes and set design, fabulous music and acting. Our son was mesmerised! Perfect.
The sound was not loud enough but visually it was excellent

Roaring great time at The Lion King! by Kelly
The Lyceum Theatre is a 2,000-seat West End theatre located in the City of Westminster, on Wellington Street, just off the Strand. There has been a theatre with this name in the locality since 1765, and the present site opened on 14 July 1834 to a design by Samuel Beazley. The building was unique in that it had a balcony overhanging the circle. It was built by the partnership of Peto & Grissell. The theatre has been home to the musical version of The Lion King since 1999. The Lion King Musical transports audiences to a dazzling world that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. With music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, a musical score created by Hans Zimmer and choral arrangements by Lebo M, Disney's The Lion King London songs include I Just Can't Wait to Be King, The Circle of Life, Endless Night and Shadow Land. Everyone raves about the show, it's a favourite of many, and I was not let down in the slightest! I love theatres, there's always something enchanting about a theatre production and I love how the professionals give us their hearts and souls. Everything about it is done with extreme precision and it's simply beautiful to watch. I were sat in an aisle seat of the stalls with a good view of the whole stage and even had animals going past up towards the stage! The costumes were amazing, the show uses techniques from all over the world - African masks, Japanese Kabuki costumes, Malaysian shadow puppetry - are smashed together in an explosion of spectacle. It's perfect for a musical, providing an eclectic carnival spirit and evoking wonder in the audience. The music itself is mesmerising, from the very first note of "Circle Of Life", I was captivated. The music is one thing, but the whole atmosphere and electricity of watching the show play out, to music you already love, is a truly unforgettable experience. Will I see it again? Absolutely!
HOT by Dave
The Lyceum is far too hot. Made it completely unbearable. Horrible theatre.

Thought the show was amazing from the minute it began ...had great seats in the stalls. We took our 9 year old son who was literally on the edge of his seat he absolutely loved it.

Second time around, how has it changed? by Mrs Jane Conlon
I first saw The Lion King 8 years ago. It was magical then and I was truly awestruck by the whole show. This time I went with my grown up son and he was amazed by the whole production. For me it was not quite as wonderful as the first time and I put it down to the position of the animal heads worn by the actors/actresses. They appeared to be worn further back so you were more aware of the persons face. It lacked the impact it had initially 8 years ago. The person who took the part of grown up Simba was fantastic and he had the movements off to a tee. My son loved the hyenas where I was a bit disappointed with their floppy heads. There did not seem to be any structure to the all important neck area and at times the heads were too mobile during the routines. The staging was great, however the whole show was let down by the late arrival of many customers who were allowed to enter and promptly destroyed the atmosphere created. I think latecomers should have to wait until the second act before taking their seats. Overall we had a thoroughly good time.
