Complicite present a new production of Samuel Beckett's classic play Endgame directed by Simon McBurney with Mark Rylance in London this autumn for 75 performances only.
In Beckett's one act play the aged and blind Hamm (Mark Rylance) and his servant Clov (Simon McBurney) co-exist in a mutually dependent and fractious relationship, with only Hamm's parents, Nell (Miriam Margolyes) and Nagg, legless from a biking accident for company.
Directed by Simon McBurney, Design by Tim Hatley, Sound by Christopher Shutt, Costumes by Christina Cunningham and lighting by Paul Anderson.
'Beckett's despair is as bracing as ever'
Sunday Times
'It is not easy to imagine a much better production of the play than this one'
Evening Standard
'That such a dark, unsparing play can leave its audience feeling so richly rewarded is one of the mysteries of great art'
Daily Telegraph
