Double Grammy Award winning, American R & B group Kool and the Gang are set to bring some R & B funk and jazz to East Anglia this summer as they perform at Adnams Newmarket Nights.
With over 70 million albums sold worldwide, the legendary performers will perform classic hits, including: Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Ladies Night and Summer Madness at Newmarket Racecourses on 20th July 2012.
Kool and the Gang's career has spanned four decades and the group has two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R & B hits and 31 gold and platinum albums to its name.
General admission Premier Enclosure tickets
The Premier Enclosure admission gives you the chance to enjoy the finest on course facilities, the best views of the Parade Ring, Pre-parade Ring and Winning Post, plus access to a wider choice of food and drink outlets.
Premier Enclosure customers will receive a ticket and a badge per person, the ticket gives entry into the racecourse and the badge gives access into the Premier Enclosure, both will be required on the day.
The stage is located in the Premier Enclosure; therefore racegoers who choose to buy a Premier Enclosure ticket will have the advantage of excellent access to the front of the stage.
Dress Code: A strict dress code operates in the Premier Enclosure. No blue jeans, denim, t-shirts, sports attire (including trainers), unduly casual or extreme attire will be permitted.
General admission Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure tickets
Dress Code: The Grandstand & Paddock operates a smart / casual dress code. Smart jeans and tailored shorts are permitted, but no vests or bare tops.
Gates open 2 1/2 hours before the first race, racing commences at approximately 6pm and finishes at approximately 9pm (during the latter part of the summer, these times become earlier). The concert commences approximately 20 minutes after the last race and last between 60-90mintues.
